Reading Lists: Guide for Copyright Staff

Digitization request statuses

Digitization requests are assigned a status, reason code, and unique # as they move through TADC.

In this example, the status is Referred, the reason code is Awaiting review of copy, and the unique # is 121:

Talis Aspire provides a glossary of statuses and their associated reason codes.

  • Referred status indicates that the request requires some kind of intervention by staff.
  • Rejected status indicates that the request was rejected, either by the system or manually by staff. A requester can force a referral to have staff consider clearance.

The history of status and reason changes can be viewed in a digitization request's Worklog. To view the Worklog for a request, click on the three vertical dots under Actions and View details. Scroll down the page to view the Worklog.

Note: Some statuses in the glossary, particularly those related to newest editions, may not apply to the Canadian context. (Instructors in the UK are required to use the most recent edition of textbooks.)
