Introduction to the LibGuides system and content creator interface

LibGuides has a less formal structure than a traditional CMS

  • No tree/folder hierarchy
  • Classify guides by group, type, subject, owner, user generated tags
    • Easily change the classification of guides to "move" them around
    • Guides must belong to one group, but can be assigned to many subjects
  • Permissions can be set at the group level
