Add sections to a reading list

Instructors can add sections to organize readings lists. Sections often correspond to weeks in the semester, themes in the course curriculum, etc. To add sections to reading lists: 

  1. Click on My Lists in Reading Lists and select the reading list you want to edit.
  2. Move your mouse to where you want to add a section. You will see the following options: Add Resource, Add Paragraph, or Add a Section.
  3. Click Add Section and enter the section title (required) and description (optional).

  4. Click Save.

Note: You can also add readings from My Bookmarks and Langara Library's holdings here by selecting Add Resource

Delete sections from a reading list

To delete a section from a reading list:

  1. Navigate to the section you want to delete.
  2. Click the 3 vertical dots to the right of the section title.

  3. Select Delete
  4. Confirm Delete

Note: This permanently deletes the section and all of the readings within in. To preserve the readings, drag them to another section in your reading list before deleting the section. 

Rearrange readings in a reading list

To move a reading to a different section in a reading list:

  1. Navigate to the reading you want to move. 
  2. Click the Arrows to the right of the reading title. The Drag me! option will appear.

  3. Click and drag the reading to the new section in your reading list.

Note: You can also move readings by clicking on the 3 vertical dots to the right of the reading title. Select the Move up or Move down option.
