  • APA Style website from the APA has extensive freely available resources, including Style and Grammar Guidelines and Instructional Aids. These include reference and in-text examples, sample papers, and much more.
     
  • APA Style Blog is the official companion to the APA Publication Manual, 7th edition. This free website offers weekly posts and updates, extensive examples and thorough explanations. Excellent resource for more nuanced questions about APA Style.
     
  • Citing Works in Text Using 7th Edition APA Style (Video presentation, 1 hour)
    Answers common questions and provides in-depth coverage of in-text citing. Skim the presentation to find useful tips, such as when to use parenthetical citation and when to use narrative citation (at 15:27 minutes).

    Free, open source web-based tool from Zotero that helps you create a citation or a reference list in APA Style (or another style).
    • Easy and intuitive to use, and does not require an account.
    • Use to create one-off References list for a paper or assignment.
    • Remember to double-check your citations for machine-generated errors.
    • Generally reliable for journal articles but less so for websites.

    Free open source citation management software available for Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile. Good for building a research library to support collaboration and longer term or multiple projects.
