Whitney Brennan graduated from the master of arts, Art History: Critical and Curatorial Studies program from the University of British Columbia and currently works as the Education Programmer for the Vancouver Police Museum & Archives. She has worked as an independent curator in Vancouver since 2014 and has curated exhibitions at The FALL Tattooing & Artist Gallery, Gam Gallery and Access Gallery, and as part of Vancouver's Capture Photography Festival. She was part of the curatorial team for the 40th AHVA Graduate Symposium at UBC and was an intern in the Aneducation department of Documenta 14 in Athens, Greece. She is currently a curator with Decoy Magazine and a member of the women-led media artists collective, The Work Group. Her writing has been included in C Magazine and Luna Luna Magazine. Her curatorial focus is on media and performance art, particularly by female-identified artists with an emphasis on environmental and gendered concerns.
