Study Hubs

What are Study Hubs?

Study Hubs are in-person and online meeting groups where students come together to keep on track of their school work. Each group is led by a Langara student leader to keep everyone focused on their tasks. In-person sessions are for all Langara students. Virtual sessions are specific to Accounting and Biology courses.

Where do we meet?

In-person meetings are in L216. Virtual meetings are conducted over Zoom via through the Nimbus App. Virtual meeting schedule still forthcoming.

Who can attend?

All registered Langara Students are eligible to participate.

How do we register?

Registration is not required but you can save a session to your Nimbus App by clicking on a session in the schedule below for virtual sessions. No registration required for in-person sessions.

How do I join a session?

In-person sessions are in L216 on Thursdays from 1:30-3:30pm starting Jan. 30.

Virtual Sessions

You can join via your smartphone or web browser 15 minutes before the scheduled start:

  1. On a web browser:
    1. Click on a session below.
    2. Save or join session.
    3. Select the option to: Sign in using your institutional email 
    4. Select Langara College from the list
    5. Login with your Langara ID.
  2. On your smart phone
    1. Download the Nimbus app on your smart phone.
    2. Select the option to: Sign in using your institutional email
    3. Select Langara College from the list
    4. Login with your Langara ID. *You only have to do this the first time you login.
    5. Search for Study Hubs and select the session you want.
