GEOG 1110 - Introduction to Human Geography (Francis)

Search tips

You instructor has provided you with a list of possible journals that you may want to consider reviewing for scholarly information. The library has many of these titles, but journals may be in various databases or available in different library systems.

To find and search in a particular journal, the easiest way is to conduct a catalogue search by journal title.

On the library website, select the "Books and Media" search from the menu on the left hand side of the screen (or in the menu on mobile).

On the "Basic Search" screen, choose "Journal Title" from the drop down menu and enter the title of the journal. If the journal starts with the word "The," omit "The." For example, for The Geographical Journal, search for "Geographical Journal."

Basic Search for journal titles

The information page for the journal will give you information about what dates we have access to electronically and where to find them. For example, The Geographical Journal page shows that we have access from 1893 - present, but through three different databases. Click on the link of the database to access the journal through that database.
