Articles provide detailed discussion and may be particularly helpful in the latter stages of your research. Databases are specialized search engines for finding journal articles.

Having trouble finding relevant articles on your topic? Look at the original article to see what sources the author has cited. Enter the article's name in the Quick Topic Search box on the Library's homepage to see if Langara has access. If not, you can order the article through Langara's interlibrary loan service.
The majority of articles in databases come from scholarly peer-reviewed journals, but you should still critically assess your sources to ensure that they have been peer-reviewed.
