As a student at Langara, you are able to borrow books from many other post-secondary libraries in BC, including Emily Carr. You will need to go to the library and present your Student ID card to borrow books. This can be a faster option than Interlibrary Loan, if you're wanting to borrow an entire book.
You can also check your local public library. Each city in BC has their own public library system. You can use this map to find your local branch.
Public library cards are free. You will just need to show a piece of ID with your mailing address on it, that shows that you live within the city of the library you're applying to.
Having a membership at a public library will allow you to keep accessing some of the resources that you will no longer have access to via Langara when you're no longer a student, for example, Linkedin Learning!
