  • Introduction to PsycINFO and Searching Library Databases
  • Searching in PsycINFO
  • Conclusion and Recap

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this tutorial, you should be able to:

  • Identify the various research and writing supports available to you at the Library and Learning Commons
  • Navigate to the psychology section of the Library website and specifically to the PsycINFO database
  • Differentiate between peer reviewed articles and popular articles
  • Develop appropriate keywords for database searching using the database operators AND and OR
  • Filter your results to find peer-reviewed empirical studies
