Featured Books at the Library

Check out our features for October!

October is Canadian Library Month

What role does the library play in your life? Originally storehouses for books, libraries currently have become central hubs for their communities, offering resources, services and programming that are both a reflection of and a contribution to the members of their particular community. The Langara Library's Mission is "To be a vital partner in academic excellence and student success – a hub for the intellectual, cultural, and social life of the Langara community." Support and celebrate your favourite library this month!

Celebrating BC and Canadian Writers!

The Vancouver Writers Fest 2020 Festival is happening online Oct.19-25, with special events occurring weekly from September to November.  The Festival features emerging and established authors from around the world, and many from closer to home too.  We've put together a selection of titles by BC and Canadian authors featured this year.  There is something for everyone - plays, nonfiction, poetry, short fiction, and a few titles for younger readers too.
