Activity - Finding Journal Articles

  • Using the notes from your background sources research, build a keyword search for our practice topic: 
    • "How do environmental factors, such as pollution and climate change, contribute to the spread of antimicrobial resistance?" 
  • You can choose which database or search tool to use 
  • Find 2 relevant articles: 
    • At least 1 should be a primary research article
  • Save you articles when you are done. We will use them next week.
    • How to save articles? Email them or save PDF
  • Questions? Not sure how to search? Ask!
  • Check in with Jarvis once you are done!

Interlibrary Loan

If the library doesn't have an article, we'll get it for you from another library via interlibrary loan.

  • No need to come to campus for pick up - simply place your request online
  • In 3-5 working days you’ll receive an email with a downloadable PDF version of the article you need from our  service.

How to make an interlibrary loan request:

  • Follow the Find it at Langara article links in Google Scholar or the Langara icon Get Full Article links inside library databases. 
  • Fill out an online interlibrary loan request form (link below)

Interlibrary loan is free and the article is yours to keep.
